The mountains have vanished, erased by the sand,

A sea of amber has swallowed the land.

My car is a ghost, buried in red,

While the echoes of shadows are finally dead.

I’ve closed every window, I’ve locked every door,

In this cocoon, I am searching no more.

I sit in the glow with a glass in my hand,

A silent sovereign of this shifting strand.

In the nothing, this red light remains,

Washing away the weight of the chains.

A cocoon of amber, a shield in the air,

The dust is my sanctuary, a silent prayer.
