I open my mouth and the words come out but the looks I get, I've done it again.

The weirdness and awkwardness, it bothers people.

I'm embarrassed and become paranoid.

I'm me and that's okay, I'm chatty and fun loving if you let me be. Give me time to get to know you and please take the time to get to know me, just let me be me, I'm happy to be me.

People avoid me, they say I am unapproachable,

do they even try to get to know me?

I spent years and years thinking it was me,

thinking there was something wrong with me.

I worried and cried, feeling alone, not having a person to talk to.

It's taken 49 years to see, I am not the problem.

I am weird yet wonderful. I care and I am loyal person. I have a lot of love to give and happy to be a friend. If you see my weirdness as a problem, then you are the problem, not me.

I am happy that I am me!
