I watched the line appear, the smile and the fear.

Will I be great, will I be bad, will I succeed at being your Mum.

My belly grew as each day passed until the time, came for you to arrive.

The joy you bring everyday, makes me realise that we are okay.

I've wiped your tears, I've hugged uou tight,

We've stayed up late just talking at night.

I've held you close when you were scared,

I've worked so hard so uou can be fed,

I sacrificed and cried my tears, but I have done it for you with no regrets.

I watched you grow and you make me so proud, of the wonderful adults you have become.

The day will come when you leave my nest, but please my child dont forget, the mother who tried to give you her best.
